Resolve student incomplete grade / Canvas

Problem
- How do I allow a student to submit assignments or take quizzes to resolve an incomplete grade in a closed Canvas course?
Resolution
- To avoid opening the course for all students after the term, Miami Online will create an "incomplete" section within the course for only the instructor and the student(s) with the incomplete. Once created, users will access the course as usual. Follow these steps:
- Submit a Canvas Solutions Request for the course to be reopened by a Canvas Admin in Miami Online
- OR call IT Help at 1-513-529-7900 to submit a ticket to Miami Online and request that the course be reopened by a Canvas Admin
- Please provide:
- Course Name
- Section
- Term
- Name(s) of the student(s) requiring an extension
- Last date users should have access to the course, including any time needed for grading. (Please refer to the University Policy Library for deadlines for removal of incomplete grades):
- Once your request is completed, a Canvas Admin will update you, and the course will reappear on your Canvas Dashboard:
- Once the work has been submitted and graded in Canvas, follow the steps in the KB article: Photo Roster / Enter grade corrections
