Wireless Network / Remove or forget a wireless network on a macOS computer

Objective
To provide instruction on removing a wireless network from the list of networks on a macOS computer
Environment
10139: Wireless Network
Personally Owned Computer
macOS
OS 13 or greater
Cause
If you experience an issue when connecting to a wireless network on a computer running OS 13 or greater, try forgetting the wireless network. This enables the computer to reset settings — usernames, passwords, or configurations — allowing the device to reconnect to the network
Resolution
To forget or delete a wireless network in OS 13 or greater, select the
Wi-Fi
symbol in the menu bar
Click
Wi-Fi Settings...
from the drop-down menu
In the Network
window, select
Wi-Fi
in the left panel
Click the
Advanced...
button at the bottom
Choose the wireless network you want to delete and click the 3 dots in a circle to the right
Select
Remove from List
Click
Forget
If prompted, click the
Apply
button to confirm changes
You may need to uninstall the MU-WIRELESS or MiamiOH-Secure profiles if you have it installed. This can be accomplished by going to System Preferences > Profiles. Remove anything that references MU-WIRELESS or MiamiOH-Secure by selecting it and clicking the minus
button
