Canvas / Access code required for a quiz

Objective

• To provide instruction on obtaining an access code for a Canvas quiz when:
  • You are attempting to take a quiz on Canvas, and it is asking you for an access code

Environment

• 10185: Canvas
• 344462: Proctorio

Cause

• Your instructor chose to require an access code when setting up the quiz

Resolution

• Contact your instructor and ask for the access code
• If your instructor has set up proctoring using Proctorio make sure you are in a recommended browser and have the Proctorio extension added to the browser

  • For the best experience, we recommend you use the Microsoft Edge browser. Proctorio is also compatible with Chrome, Opera, and Brave.
