Request: GitLab / Create a repository

Request

• Create a new Git repo
• Create a new Git repo for existing repo files

Scope

• This procedure is intended for IT Services software repositories. For the College of Engineering and Computing instance of GitLab, contact CEC IT Support at cechelp@miamioh.edu

Resolution

1. Complete and submit your request for a new Git repository
2. If you want to move files from an existing repo to your new repo, provide the following information:
   • New repository name
   • Name of old repository in which the files are currently located
