Resolution
If you did not enter your password or supply any other sensitive information after opening the website, you do not need to do anything
If you entered your password after opening the website, do the following:
Go to Miami's MUnet Password Utilities (RI) page
Follow the instructions on the page to change your password
Forward the suspicious email to
InfoSec@MiamiOH.edu
If you use the same combination of Miami email address and password at any other sites or services, those passwords should be changed as well
If you provided any other sensitive information after opening the link, do the following:
Forward the suspicious email and details about what information you provided to
InfoSec@MiamiOH.edu
You should receive a response back with any specific recommendations depending on what kind of information may have been involved. For example, if you provided any banking or credit related information, you should reach out to the relevant bank or creditor to inform them of the situation and determine what should be done to prevent any potential fraudulent activity
