Canvas / Inclusive Access courseware setup

  • To provide information on how to connect an Inclusive Access digital textbook to courseware like Cengage, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, Norton, Pearson, or WileyPLUS

Guide 

If no courseware is used

  • Students can view the textbook as an eBook via the hyperlink added to the Course Materials module

 

If single sign-on courseware is used

  • How do I know if courseware is single sign-on? 
    • If the login to the courseware doesn’t require a code or a courseware-specific username and password
  • A link to the courseware will automatically show up inside the Course Materials link. Students must access the material through this link
  • Select the Launch Courseware button

 

If code-reveal courseware is used

  • How do I know if courseware is code-reveal? 
    • You are prompted to enter a code the first time you access the textbook
  • Students will use the eCampus dashboard to obtain an access code for the courseware. The access code will be redeemed at the URL provided by the publisher
  • Instructors are unable to retrieve an access code. The publisher will provide access to you

 

If publisher-direct courseware is used

  • How do I know courseware is publisher-direct? 
    • It requires a courseware-specific username and password to be created
  • Students will access courseware through a separate publisher integration in Canvas
  • The Course Materials link will only be used for opting in/out and invoicing

    • Miami Online does not manage the Inclusive Access program or its interaction with Canvas
    • If you encounter issues with publisher courseware in Canvas, contact the individual courseware support team
    • Miami Online does not provide technical support for publisher courseware
