Guide
Every student, faculty and staff member is provided with a Miami UniqueID or username. The UniqueID is intended to be a single identifier for a person for the duration of their association with the University. The normal makeup of a UniqueID is:
- The first six (6) characters of the surname or last name
- If the last name is less than six characters, the full last name is used
- The first character from the given name or first name
- The first character from the middle name, if provided
Locate your Miami UniqueID or username
Users can request Miami UniqueID or username information from our RapidIdentity system by providing account recovery information:
- Navigate to MUnet Password Utilities (RI)
- Click the Forgot Username (UniqueID)? link
- Enter the personal email address or mobile phone number associated with your account
- If using personal email, this will be the personal email address used to apply to Miami
- US phone number format: +1[areacode][number]
- US phone number format: [area code][number]
- International phone number format: +[countrycode][areacode][number]
- Click the Send button
- Open your email or phone to receive the reminder of your username (UniqueID)
- Continue your log in with your recovered username (UniqueID)
