OAS / Guide: Server User Interfaces

Objective

• To provide guidance in using the classic interface or dashboard in OAS
• To provide guidance in using the new Data Visualizer (DV) interface in OAS
  • To provide guidance in creating a DV visualization project in Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)

Guide

• In addition to the traditional (classic) user interface (or dashboard) that has existed in earlier versions of OBIEE, OAS includes Data Visualizer (DV), a second interface designed for ad-hoc, self-service analytics 
  • Use your Miami credentials — UniqueID and MUnet password — to access the classic interface at any of the following URLs:
    • https://ia.miamioh.edu
    • https://ia.miamioh.edu/analytics 
    • https://miamioh.edu/bi
  • Use your Miami credentials — UniqueID and MUnet password — to log in to Miami's Data Visualizer interface, the new self-service interface at https://ia.miamioh.edu/dv
• Continue to use the classic interface as you always have, but feel free to explore and use the DV interface
• Learn more about Data Visualizer by visiting the Oracle Analytics Academy:
  • Go to the navigation bar at the top left corner of the home page and select Academy
  • Or use your Miami credentials to log in to the Academy for Data Visualizer directly
