Scope

Environment

  • 312306: Duo Security Two-factor Authentication

Rationale

  • Additional devices can be added through Duo's self service portal

Resolution 

  • You must follow these steps to access the correct Duo window — you cannot access Duo's My Settings & Devices by direct URL
  1. On your computer, open a private browser window 
    • After first-time enrollment in Duo, you must use a private browser window or a different browser to access My Settings & Devices
  2. Log in to any Miami University system using your UniqueID and MUnet password 
  3. In the Duo window, click Cancel to cancel an automatic authentication request, if necessary
  4. Before supplying a passcode or token, click the My Settings & Devices link on the left
  5. Authenticate your identity and complete your login
  6. Approve the login request on your enrolled device
    • When the request has been approved, the Self Service Portal will be displayed
  7.  Click Add another device and follow the prompt
