Introduction

PluralSight is a web-based individualized training platform that has ongoing reporting functionality. It can help users train in several different programming languages including JavaScript, Angular, and C#.

What can I expect?

  • Support Tier: Tier 1 - Best Effort: While approved for use there is no institutional support for the application. IT Help would make an effort to assist using general technical knowledge. If unable to do so, the user would need to resolve the issue on their own or contact a commercial vendor for assistance.

  • Acquisition Model: Registration: Online user account is used to login to the application each time of use, frequently using Miami's Identity and Access single-sign on capability with your Miami UniqueID and password. 

  • Licensing Model: Registered User License: The license is included with online registration.

  • Authentication Model: Independent Registration: The user is required to create an account individually with the application vendor.

How do I get started?

Staff can log in to their accounts at https://app.pluralsight.com/id.

Is there a charge to me or my department?

An annual academic subscription is $579 per user. There are also 50 free courses on the sight.
