- Open a supported browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 8 (or later), or Opera
- Log in to any Miami University system using your UniqueID and MUnet password
- Unenrolled users will be prompted to enroll in Duo
- Click the Start setup button
- Select Mobile phone as the type of device you want to add
- Click the Continue button
- Enter the area code and phone number of the smartphone you want to enroll
- A check-mark indicates that you have entered the number in the correct format
- Check the box to confirm that you have entered the correct phone number
- Click the Continue button
- Select the type of smartphone you want to enroll: iPhone, Android, or Windows
- Confirm that the Duo Mobile app is installed on your smartphone and click the I have Duo Mobile Installed button
- Select the option: Or have an activation link emailed to you instead
- Enter your email address into the box
- Click Send email
- Open the email on the smart device you want to enroll and click the link in the email to complete self-enrollment
- The email must be opened on the device with Duo Mobile installed — if the email is opened on the computer or on another device, it will not work
