Instructor unable to see a submitted assignment / Canvas
Body
Problem
- Why can't my instructor see the assignment I submitted?
- How do I know if my assignment was submitted?
- Why can't I see a student's assignment or quiz submission in Speedgrader as an instructor?
Resolution
- You entered text, attached a file, recorded media, or entered a URL, but did not click the "Submit" button; an error occurred during submission; you attempted to submit the wrong assignment type or file; the assignment window closed during submission; or you did not have another attempt on the assignment
- You have resubmitted an assignment or quiz that allowed multiple attempts, and your instructor is reviewing the wrong attempt:
- As a student, you can check and confirm your assignment submissions and view previous attempts on the assignment page:
- Instructors can view previous assignment attempts in Speedgrader, though quizzes with more than 65 total attempts in a course may need to be accessed via the Quiz Results page:
- If you are unable to confirm that the assignment was submitted:
- If you are still able to complete an attempt for the assignment (i.e., it's within the availability dates, you have another attempt), resubmit the assignment
- If you are unable to complete an attempt for the assignment (i.e., the assignment is locked), contact your instructor immediately to request another attempt. Instructors allow additional attempts at their own discretion; IT or Miami Online is not able to verify submission issues unless a known service outage has been reported
