Resolution

• This Canvas Guide article will show you how to add users to a course 
  • This may have unexpected results, since permissions for many tools are based on role
  • Care should be taken to only add necessary users in the correct role following FERPA and university regulations
  • It is not recommended that the instructor of record be added as a student - use the TestStudent that is part of Canvas by going to the Home Page and clicking on TestStudent on the right menu
  • It is not recommended that any user have multiple roles in a Canvas course
