Google Drive / Move a folder into a Shared Drive

Objective

• To provide direction in moving a Google Drive folder into a Shared Drive folder

Environment

• 10259: Google Drive 
• 1062204: Google Drive - Shared Drive

Resolution

• The owner of the Drive folder must transfer the files to the Shared Drive, one at a time
• If you have too many files to transfer one at a time, contact IT Help by phone at 513-529-7900 or by live chat at MiamiOH.edu/ITChat and provide the following information:
  • Filepath of the Google Drive folder
  • Account owner (Drive)
  • Filepath of the destination (Google Shared Drive) folder

Notes

• Google Drive is not the same thing as a G: drive, which is shared space on a networked drive for your local area or department
