Microsoft Online Services / Account (MUnet) password reset

Objective

  • To provide instruction on requesting a Microsoft Online Services account password reset

Environment

  • 1388733: RapidIdentity (RI)
  • 908729: MU IAM Portal
  • Microsoft Online Services

Rationale

  • Staff, faculty, and students must use their Miami credentials (UniqueID and MUnet password) to access Microsoft Online Services
    • It can take up to 30 minutes for password synchronization to occur. If you are unable to log in to Miami's Microsoft services, wait at least 30 minutes before trying again

Resolution

  1. Try to log in with your Miami email address and MUnet password
  2. If this does not work, go to Miami's MUnet Password Utilities (RI) tool and follow the prompts to change your password 
    • This will also change your Microsoft Online Services password
