Objective

• To provide information on a suspicious message that appears to have been sent through Canvas

Environment

• Phishing, Spam & Compromised Accounts
• 10185: Canvas
• Miami Email

Cause

• It is possible for a phishing message sent to your email to appear similar to a Canvas message notification

Resolution

1. Do not click/follow any links in the suspicious email message
2. Forward the suspicious email to our IT Services Security team at InfoSec@MiamiOH.edu
   • Our IT Services Security Topics page will tell you more about phishing
3. Open Miami's Canvas
4. Select Inbox
