Software / Install an app from an unknown developer

Objective

• To provide instructions on installing an app that has been blocked by your macOS computer
  • When you cannot install an app because it is from an unidentified developer

Environment

• Software for Personally Owned Computers
  • macOS

Resolution

1. To allow the installer to run, hold the Control key and click the installer
2. Click Open
3. When prompted to confirm that you want to open the file, click Open
