Desk Phone / Block incoming calls

Objective

• To provide instruction on blocking incoming phone calls on a Cisco desk phone
  • Block a fax number that keeps calling my desk phone

Environment

• 1154448: Desk Phones
• 701078: Unified Communications Self Care Portal

Cause

• Repeated calls from an unwanted/unwelcome caller

Resolution

• Unfortunately, it is not possible to block incoming calls to a University phone
• Report unwanted calls to the Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry
• Additionally, scams can be reported to the Federal Communications Commission
