Problem
How can I get access to both sections of my Registrar cross-listed courses?
Why is only one of my course sections available in Canvas when the course is cross-listed at the course level?
Resolution
Registrar cross-listed courses are automatically combined in Canvas from the SIS sync
Refer to the
KB article for manually cross-listing courses
if your course should not be cross-listed at the course level, but you are teaching two sections of the same class, and want to combine them on your own
Your course name will automatically update to reflect all sections during the semester prior to the start of the class
Example: Spring course names will update in J-term, and Fall course names will update during the Summer
To confirm your cross-listed sections:
Open your course in Canvas
Select
Settings
Select the
Sections
tab to view all the sections currently added to your course
If you do not see all of the correct sections, contact the Registrar's office at
registrar@MiamiOH.edu
