Objective

  • To provide instruction on connecting an auxiliary input device for use as part of a classroom technology package

Equipment

  • Auxiliary audio input device
  • Auxiliary video input device
  • Standard technology package

Procedure

  1. Locate the cable connectors, under the control panel

  2. Auxiliary audio: To use audio only, connect the 3.5 mm audio cable — labeled iPod — to your device's headphone port
  3. Auxiliary video: Connect your device to the Laptop HDMI cable
  4. With the projection system on, press Laptop on the control panel

  5.  Auxiliary (Aux) audio is internally set to pass audio when the system is on. You will control the source and volume levels of the audio from the device that you connected to the Aux cable.

 

Troubleshooting: Blank Screen or No Signal

  • Restart Device: Power cycle your device with the display cable still connected
  • Toggle Picture Mute: Press the PICTURE MUTE button on the control panel

Notes

  • This room includes both HDMI video inputs, and a 3.5 mm audio cable
  • Certain devices may require adapters, which are not provided
  • iPod audio will work regardless of which input source is selected on the control panel; however, the projector must display something for sound to work in this room
  • Power-down the projection system when you are finished using the equipment

  • If you need immediate help, locate the phone in the room, dial 9-7900, and then press 9
