Find courses for the current term / Canvas

Body

Problem

  • Why is a course not appearing on my Canvas Courses list?
  • How do I remove an old course from my Canvas Courses List?
  • When will I see a course I just registered for in Canvas?

Resolution

Registered courses for the current term are typically automatically added to your Canvas Courses list and Dashboard, and removed once the term ends. However, you may need to favorite or "unfavorite" a course to add or remove it manually. Refer to the Canvas Guide on customizing your Courses list for more information, or follow these steps:

  1. Click Courses in the Canvas Global Navigation on the left side of the Canvas site (web)
  2. Click All Courses to see current and past courses on the All Courses page
  3. To favorite a course and add it to your Courses list and Dashboard, click the empty star next to it. Click a filled star next to a course to remove it from your Courses list and Dashboard
    • If no courses are favorited, all your courses will appear in the Courses list and on your Dashboard. Fill the star next to at least one course to begin customizing
    • If a course is unpublished, it cannot be added to favorites until the instructor publishes it. You can view the course status in the Published column of the All Courses page

Notes

  • If a currently-registered course does not appear on the All Courses page in Canvas, confirm your registration in your myMiami account. It may take 24 hours for registration updates to reflect in Canvas
