Problem
- How do I log into GNS3 through the Miami CIT Server?
Resolution
Warning: You should try installing the GNS3 software on your own laptop since your performance will be much better and you will avoid the risk of dropping the connection due to multiple users. Use the CIT server only if you cannot install the software and there are no other options.
- Use AnyConnect to log in to the Miami VPN
- Navigate your browser to https://appportal.miamioh.edu/RDWeb/webclient/
- Sign in with your Miami UniqueID and MUnet password
- Open the Regional-CIT server
- If an Access local resources pop-up appears, click Allow
- Click the OK button, if presented with a notice
- You may be asked to verify your account in DUO
- Close the Server Manager window, if presented
- In the Windows search box, enter GNS3 and open the program
- Select Preferences… from under the Edit menu
- Click Server in the navigation panel and enter your server similar to the following, then click OK
