Objective
- To provide instruction on removing a printer from a Windows or macOS computer when:
- Your departmental printer shows a status of Server is offline
- You cannot connect to your network printer
- You want to remove a department printer in macOS
- You want to remove a department printer in Windows
Environment
- 10409: Departmental Printing (ComDoc/MOM devices)
- Computing: Windows
- Computing: macOS
Resolution
Remove a printer from Windows
- Click the Start icon
- Begin typing Printers & Scanners, selecting this option when it resolves in the list
- Scroll the list of installed printers, clicking to select the printer you want to remove
- Click the Remove Device button

Remove a printer from macOS
- Open your Apple menu
- Choose System Preferences
- Click Printers & Scanners
- Select the printer in the list and click Remove
