MATLAB / Installation work-around for Duo error for out-of-date Chrome

Objective

• To provide instruction on using Installing MATLAB and overcoming Duo complaining about out-of-date Chrome

Scope

• Provides a work-around to the issue of the internal MATLAB installer's chrome version not being supported by Duo

Environment

• 336976: MATLAB
• 312306: Duo Security Two-factor Authentication

Instructions 

1. When installing MATLAB, you will get an error stating that the version of Chrome is not supported. The work-around is to close the Duo window
2. This will trigger a prompt Having Trouble signing in?
3. Click Continue to sign in with a one-time password
4. Copy the given link over to a browser
5. The browser will then have the user log in to Miami, which validates the user
6. The browser will then provide a one-time code which can be copied back over to MATLAB installer and the installation can continue
