Objective

• To provide information about and general instructions for the installation and use of Read&Write desktop version for Windows and Mac

Scope

• Read&Write provides tools for the web, ePubs, and PDFs
• Most features of the desktop version for Windows or Mac can be used without an Internet connection
• The Read&Write desktop version can be used with lockdown browsers (e.g., Proctorio)

Resolution

Install Read&Write Software

Windows

1. Download Read&Write for Windows, choosing the Single User License
2. Locate the exe file and click to begin installation
3. Follow onscreen prompts
4. Launch the program
5. (First time only) Sign in with Google, using your Miami credentials, and follow the onscreen prompts

Mac

1. Download Read&Write for Mac
2. Locate the dmg file and click to begin installation
3. Drag the Read&Write icon into the Applications folder to install
4. Launch the program
5. (First time only) Sign in with Google, using your Miami credentials, and follow the onscreen prompts
