Record or rerecord name pronunciation in NameCoach / Canvas

Objective

• How do I record my name in Canvas?
• How do I use NameCoach in Canvas?

Resolution 

1. If your instructor has enabled NameCoach in your course, click the NameCoach link in the course navigation
2. Click the Record Name button
3. Follow the prompts to record and save your NameCoach recording by selecting from the Phone, Web Recorder, or Uploader options
   • Note that if you plan to use the web recorder, start your NameCoach session in Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. The web recorder does not work in Safari and is unavailable in Internet Explorer
4. Once completed, your NameCoach profile and recording will be available in other courses that use the tool
   • To re-record, just click the Record Name button again and follow the steps
5. To listen to a class member's name pronunciation, click the play icon next to the name in the Recorded Names tab
