myMiami / Authorize Canvas Connector

Objective

  • To provide instruction on authorizing the Canvas Connector in myMiami

Scope

  • In myMiami, some users may not be able to immediately authorize the Canvas Connector when they log in the first time. This could be due to their browsers not allowing pop-ups

User

  • Faculty, staff, and students currently enrolled in Canvas courses

Environment

  • 1097993: myMiami (OneCampus)
    • myMiami
    • University Portal Service
  • 10185: Canvas
    • Canvas Connector

Resolution

  1. Log in to myMiami
  2. In the login menu, select Preferences
  3. Under Authorize Canvas Connector, select Authorize
  4. On the next screen, it will say "MyMiami powered by OneCampus is requesting access to your account."
    • On this screen, select Authorize

 

To edit the Canvas Connector (after you've authorized it)

  1. Log in to myMiami
  2. Scroll to the bottom to Canvas Courses
  3. Select Edit Connector
  4. Make any desired edits
  5. Select Save
