Procedure: Digital Signage (Poppulo / Four Winds) / Managed menu screens

Guidelines

Menus aren't updating and or displaying correctly

Note: The Assoc Dir Creative Finance & Business Services, 513-529-3045, from FBS Marketing should always be the first point-of-contact for these issues

  1. Reboot player
    • Often rebooting the remote screen takes care of the issue
      • FWI Cloud > Devices > Campus Services > Dining Centers - with Menus > Select Screen > Reboot
      • FYI as of January 2022: All menu screens have been configured to reboot nightly at 2:30 AM (see below)
  2. View the menu in Content Manager Desktop (simple test)
    1. Navigate to the dining location's content player
    2. Click Preview
    3. Compare the displayed results with the link display: FWI Cloud > Devices > Campus Services > Dining Centers - with Menus > Select Screen > Aramark Full Screen Menu > Full Screen Menu > double-click globe icon to see link 
  3.  If link does not display correctly when pasted into browser, reach out to Aramark contact for them to correct

  • The food service provider for Miami University is responsible for the content in the links. FBS Marketing is responsible for displaying links on menu screens
  • FBS-IT is only responsible for the MDI connector and the transfer of menu data from MDI to FWI Cloud
