• How do I learn about DocuSign documentation retention settings and purge activities?

Resolution

• How long are documents retained? 
  • Signed envelopes are retained on the system for 120 days after signing has been completed
     
• Can I get my purged document back? 
  • No, once a document has been purged it can not be recovered
     
• Will I be notified before a document is purged? 
  • Yes, a notification will be sent to the sender and any specified individual 14 days and 7 days before the document is purged
     
• Where should I store documents, if not in DocuSign? 
  • Documents should be stored and retained per the University retention policy and individual divisional policies
