Wireless Network / Connect a virtual assistant to MU-Gaming

Objective

To provide instruction on:
- Registering and connecting your virtual assistant to the University network
- Registering and connecting your Amazon Echo to the wireless network
- Registering and connecting your Google Home device to Miami's network
- Using the Google Home app to connect your Google Home device to the network

Personally-owned Virtual Assistant
- Amazon Echo (Alexa speaker)
- Google Home, Google Home Mini

Log in to Miami's MU-Gaming Device Registration page using your UniqueID and MUnet password
Click Add
Enter the name of the device you want to register
- Do not include any special characters in the name. The page will return an error if there is a special character in the name or description
Enter the device MAC address for Device ID
- Follow these KB instructions to locate the MAC address for your virtual assistant device
Submit your request
When you have completed your registration, connect your device to MU-Gaming
- To use the Google Home app, your mobile device and your Google Home device must be connected to the same wireless network — MU-Gaming
