Procedure

Reset a voicemail password

  1. Log in to Cisco Unity Connection Administrator with your MUnet credentials 
  2. In the left menu, click Users
  3. In the Users section, select the following from the drop-down:
    • Extension
    • Contains
  4. Enter in the 5 digit extension
    • example: 91234
  5. Click the Find button
  6. Click the phone name when it appears
  7. From the Edit User Basics screen, click Edit
  8. From the drop-down, select click Change Password
  9. Enter a temporary numeric pin and then click Confirm Pin
  10. Click Save
  11. From the Edit User Basics screen, click Edit
  12. From the drop-down, select click Password Settings
  13. From the Edit Password Settings, check the box next to User Must Change at Next Sign-In 
  14. Click Save
  15. Contact client with temporary numeric pin

 

Response Template

We have reset your voicemail pin to [temporary PIN value you entered above]. When you next check your voicemail with this new PIN, you should be prompted to select a new one.
