SAS JMP Pro / Renew or update license

Objective 

  • To provide instruction on updating an expired JMP Pro license

Environment

  • 335461: SAS JMP Pro
  • 980828: SAS JMP Pro 15 / Install for Home Use on Windows
  • 980826: SAS JMP Pro 15 / Install for Home Use on macOS
  • (no asset): SAS JMP Pro v16 for Windows
  • (no asset): SAS JMP Pro v17 for macOS
  • (no asset): SAS JMP Pro v17 for Windows
  • Software for Personally Owned Computers
    • macOS
    • Windows

Resolution

  • This applies to personal computers and University-owned computers
  • Starting with JMP18, licensing is handled via authorization. If you are using a version of JMP older than 18, please download and install JMP18
  • Eligible students should already be authorized to use this software. Please check your Miami email for a JMP 18 access email

macOS

  1. Click the appropriate link to download a current license for your version of JMP:
  2. Log in using your Miami credentials
    • A PKG installer will be saved to your downloads folder
  3. Run the PKG installer by holding the control key, clicking on the package, and selecting open while JMP Pro is closed and follow all the default prompts

 

Windows

  1. Click the appropriate link to download a current license for your version of JMP
  2. Log in using your Miami credentials
    • An EXE file will be saved to your downloads folder
  3. Run the EXE file while JMP Pro is closed
    • Upgrade script within EXE runs extremely fast and may not appear on the screen

  • If a new license update is not yet available, contact IT Help by phone at 513-529-7900 or by live chat session at MiamiOH.edu/ITChat to request assistance
  • Licenses updated for 30JUL2024 expiration
  • JMP v18 changed to a subscription licensing model
