Webex Meetings / Install on a University-owned macOS device

Objective

  • To provide instructions on installing the Webex Meetings Desktop app on a University-owned macOS device

User

Environment

  • Software for University-owned Computers
  • 701048: Webex Meetings Desktop
    • Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App
  • 10188: Jamf Pro (Casper) Self Service 
    • Miami University Self Service Portal
  • University-owned device
    • macOS

Resolution 

  1. Press Command+Space-bar to open Spotlight Search
  2. Enter Self Service in the search field
  3. In the Miami University Self Service Library window, select Webex Meetings
    • You can also use the search field in the top left of the window
  4. Click the Install button
    • The software will begin installing automatically
  5. When installation is complete, locate your application in the Applications folder
    • Drag a shortcut into the dock
