Wireless Network / Connect a Windows computer to MU-Wireless

Objective

• To provide instruction on connecting your personal Windows computer to MU-Wireless

Environment

• 10139: Wireless Network
  • MU-Wireless
  • Miami Network
• Personally Owned Computer
  • Windows PC

Resolution

1. Download and run the wireless configuration tool for Windows
   • If prompted, log in with your Miami credentials
2. Run the downloaded file
3. Follow the instructions as prompted to connect to MU-Wireless

Notes

• If you can see the wireless network, but are still unable to connect, contact IT Help by phone at 513-529-7900 or by live chat at MiamiOH.edu/ITChat. Provide the following information: 
  • Location
  • Media Access Control address (MAC) for your device(s)
  • Contact information

• Contact MiTech for assistance with a personally owned computer
  • Visit the Miami University Brick & Ivy Campus Store website 
  • Go to Miami University Bookstore's MiTech Computer Services for service menu, pricing, and hours 
• MiTech does not provide walk-in repair services for University-owned hardware
  • Follow these KB instructions to request repair of University-owned hardware
